In animal welfare news, France plans to create a marine sanctuary in the Caribbean. Named Agoa, the conservation zone will be 138,000 square kilometers in total, and include the waters of Guadeloupe, Martinique, St. Martin and St. Barthélemy. Its formation is also the result of years of efforts by non-governmental groups. Agoa will serve to protect threatened whale species from human activities such as ship traffic, noise, pollution, and uncontrolled whale watching. Bravo, France, for this beneficial endeavor.

Many thanks, also, all the groups that advocated for this safeguarded area. May our loving cetacean friends forever continue to grace our planet, sharing their immense love and blessings with all.
