Following the initial recall of 55,000 pounds of ground turkey meat that has caused at least 12 people across 10 states to fall ill due to Salmonella infection, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announces that the strain of infection is proving difficult to treat, as it is also resistant to many antibiotics.
