Mr. Graham Waspe of Stowmarket, Suffolk, was saddened by the loss of eyesight of his guide dog Edward due to inoperable cataracts. Another trained canine, Opal, soon arrived to help Mr. Waspe.

Opal quickly became proficient in assisting Mr. Waspe with everyday tasks and also helping Edward to move around. The three friends also visit schools and community groups to help raise awareness about the vital contribution of guide dogs to those with visual impairments.

We are touched by your loving attendance, Opal. May you, Edward and Mr. Graham Waspe enjoy many wonderful years together, in each other’s fabulous company.
